Bring Your Own Agent

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or another agent to Skoot, then ask questions about your data from the agent you already use.

Connect

Open Settings → Connected agents in Skoot and copy the connection URL.

Claude

  1. Open Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Skoot, paste the copied URL, and click Continue.
  3. Follow the setup screens, choose Sign in now, and finish adding the connector.
  4. If Skoot is listed but isn’t signed in, click Connect beside it.
  5. Sign in to Skoot, choose your workspace, and click Connect.
  6. Enable Skoot from + → Connectors in your conversation.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise account, your workspace administrator may need to add the connector first. Each person then clicks Connect using their own Skoot account. Claude’s connection guide  covers the setup screens.

Claude Code

Run:

claude mcp add --transport http skoot <connection-url>

Then enter /mcp, select Skoot, and sign in. Choose your workspace and click Connect.

ChatGPT

  5. Click Authenticate beside Skoot to open the sign-in page.
  6. Sign in to Skoot, choose your workspace, and click Connect.
  7. Close the authentication-complete window and return to the app. Keep Skoot enabled in the server list.

  4. Install the resulting Skoot plugin and follow the sign-in prompts. In Skoot, choose your workspace and click Connect.
  5. In a conversation, type @ and select Skoot.

Your workspace may control whether custom plugins are available. See ChatGPT’s connection guide .

Codex

  1. Open Settings → Plugins.
  2. Click Add → Add MCP server.
  3. Enter Skoot in Name, select Streamable HTTP, and paste the copied connection URL into URL.
  4. Click Save, then open the MCPs tab.
  5. Click Authenticate beside Skoot to open the sign-in page.
  6. Sign in to Skoot, choose your workspace, and click Connect.
  7. Close the authentication-complete window and return to Codex. Keep Skoot enabled in the server list.

For Codex CLI, run:

codex mcp add skoot --url <connection-url> codex mcp login skoot

Adding the URL configures the server; Authenticate (or codex mcp login skoot) connects your account. See Codex’s connection guide .

Use

Ask your agent a question and mention Skoot when helpful:

  • “Use Skoot to show revenue by month this year.”
  • “Use Skoot to compare active customers with last month.”
  • “Use Skoot to explain which products drove this week’s growth.”

The agent uses the workspace you selected when connecting. Connect again to authorize another workspace.

Disconnect

In Skoot, open Settings → Connected agents and click Disconnect beside the connection you want to remove.

The connection disappears from Skoot’s list, and its access ends immediately. You can also remove Skoot from your agent’s connector settings.
